October ‘24 Newsletter

October Recap

This is Halloween! We love a holiday newsletter and the holidays are officially here.

Of course today's weather isn't ideal for our trick-or-treaters, but those Indiana kids are tough.

We hope you have had a great day of trying & failing to avoid the office candy and have a great night of red wine and spookiness.

A light, short, fun newsletter for your sugar-ridden brains…

🎸 So you didn't get tickets to the big show.. 🎸

Me neither. My plan? Delete social media and ignore the fact that it is happening. If you are a bigger person than I and still want to celebrate, here are the happenings going on around town for the Queen's arrival -

📍 Community Updates 📍

📌 [1] Noblesville - Kittle's Furniture to build a 50,000-square-foot furniture and design center at just west of Hamilton Town Center. That's a lot of couches!

📌 [2] Westfield - Graeter's Ice Cream has filed plans to open its fourth Central Indiana location just south of Grand Park Sports Campus. If I was a betting woman, finding a youth baseball team in there on a Saturday evening seems like a safe bet.

📌 [3] Carmel - Drybar plans to open its third Central Indiana location at the Clay Terrace shopping center. Their Vegas location gave me ROUGH blowout one time, but I am ready to get hurt again!

📌 [4] Indianapolis - The Speakeasy, the Indianapolis nonprofit that offers co-working space and former working location of Keller & Corbett, plans to wind down operations by end of the year.

📌 [5] Northside Indy - Tom Wood Automotive Group plans to build a new Porsche dealership at 4105 E 96th. Fancy!

📌 [6] Zionsville - Zionsville Town Council voted to approve a designated outdoor refreshment area (DORA) around the historic Village. This will allow people to carry alcoholic beverages outside in Zionsville from participating businesses.

🔠 ABC's of indy - ‘W' 🔠

“W” is for … Working Man's Friend

Working Man's Friend, on Indy's Near Westside, is truly for working men and friends. It is cash only, has an out-of-order cigarette machine, and is gritty in the best way. I'm a vegetarian (lame i know), but have it on good authority it is a GREAT burger. It is one of those smash burgers like Steak 'N Shake.

Fun & Dive-y, a good Indy classic to check out!
